Meet Mocha!

This beauty was rescued off the streets of baja Mexico as a lone pup.
She is now fostered in San Diego along with several other arwob dogs and cats.

Mocha is a wonderful gentle soul. Her personality is that of a submissive dog towards other dogs.
She is fantastic with cats as well. However, she is very shy around humans. The humans she knows she loves and is social and loving BUT she is under socialized around humans so she is not keen on approaching strangers to say hi. For this reason she doesn't show that well during meet and greets and we are searching for a foster who can take care of her and help us socialize her ei a home with multiple humans or who take her out during more outtings like walks, social gatherings, etc

Anyone looking to adopt her, we recommend foster her first to make sure they are the right match for her insecurity around new strangers and are able to start socializing her from the beginning so she can finally come out of her shell and feel more comfortable around new people. Example - when we go to the dog park she will run around with the dogs while keeping an eye out for her foster BUT is not interested in socializing with the other dog owners and if approached to say hi she just walks away instead of allowing new people pet her.

Mocha does have a great heal, all on her own with no training and pretty good on leash walking as well. Even when walking off leash in the dog park she will walk along your side if she is not off playing with her dog friends. She is great during car rides. She knows sit and we have her sit to put on and off her leash.

Mocha is crate trained and is the best dog park dog and is ready to find her forever family. Mocha is a healthy teen who is 33 pounds and likely will grow into the 50-60 pound range. Mocha is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. To meet her please submit an adoption application online at ARWOB.org once approved meet and greets are scheduled in the 92111 zip code. Adoptions can be a fasst process once the application is submitted and we don't place holds on rescues, please do not apply unless ready to adopt within the week. Thank you

More about this rescue

The A.R.W.O.B. group is based in San Diego, CA and operates mostly in Mexico as well as Southern California and will come to the aid of any animal in need which crosses our path. Our belief is to do what we can in order to “Make a difference in their lives.” From experience we have observed and feel the companion animals of Mexico are in the greatest need and accordingly we focus much of our efforts in Baja, Mexico. However, we certainly extend our help to our north of the border critters by accepting relinquished family pets, exiting both dogs and cats from the shelters of San Diego and of course by working in conjunction with other animal rescue groups in the community

Visit our website www.ARWOB.org to learn more about us.
