Hey there, potential human! Let’s get one thing straight—I’m not your typical “in your face” kitty. I’m what you’d call a "quiet observer." You know, the type who watches you from a cozy hiding spot while you do all your strange human things. Vacuuming? Weird. Talking to the fridge? Okay. But I’m always there, lurking around the corner like a ninja—silent, fluffy, and slightly confused by your life choices.
I’m looking for a quiet home with someone who’s okay with giving me my space and letting me come out of my shell at my own pace. I'm still trying to figure out myself and this great big world!
Think of me as your fuzzy little roommate who won’t steal your snacks (probably). If you’re patient, I’ll reward you with my company—and maybe, just maybe, I’ll decide your lap looks comfy.
I may not be a party animal, but once I get to know you (which might take a little time), I’ll grace you with my presence for some gentle head bumps and the occasional purr. I even do this adorable slow blink thing to show my affection—trust me, it’s cat code for “you’re cool.” I may not be the first to run up for attention, but I show my love in subtle, meaningful ways.
If you’re looking for a gentle soul who appreciates the beauty of slow trust and quiet connection, I might be the perfect addition to your home.
So, what do you say? Ready to adopt me and show me how wonderful the world can be?
P.S. If you can’t find me, check under the bed. I’m probably napping.
Enoki is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
