Broomstick is a 4 month old Dachshund x Yorkie mix who’s ready to sing his way into his forever home! Broomstick was rescued from the shelter with his sister, Bedknob (deep cut for the Disney fans out there). These pups were an accidental litter that didn’t have forever homes, so they landed in the shelter. We scooped them up and waved our magic wand to rescue them from behind bars. Broomstick currently weighs around 8 pounds and we think he will be in the 10-13 pound range when he reaches adulthood. The perfect size for all the magic quests you have planned as a duo! Broomstick promises to sweep you away from the moment you meet him!

Broomstick is a sweet, playful, and adorable little man with ears so big Dumbo called for his title back! Broom loves playing fetch and delights in endless games of chase and tag with his sister. Broom is quite the daredevil, leaping off of chairs and tumbling into a perfect pose. With his big ears serving as an umbrella, he drifts down to the ground with the grace of a gazelle. He loves performing and is truly just full of wonderful charisma. Broom would be a perfect agility dog for a home looking to have a prize winner in the family. He’s super smart as well as food motivated, so he picks up new tricks as easy as pie! Broom also loves a good cuddle session with his people after a long day of activity. Broomstick would love an active family ready for long walks and trips to the park. He has so much he wants to check out in the big world outside his door! Broomstick has an irresistible set of puppy dog eyes that make it impossible not to give into his every wish. You’ll be spellbound from the minute he tumbles into your lap and you won’t want to let go!

The puppies wake up at 7:30 AM and head into the yard for a potty break. As breakfast is being prepared, they zoom around the backyard and show off their toy catching skills. Breakfast is served at 8 AM and then they settle into their playpen for a morning nap. Around lunchtime, they get a little snack as they work on training skills. They play in the house and yard for the remainder of the afternoon, taking occasional naps to get an energy boost. Around 5 PM, the siblings have dinner in their pen before they go outside again. In the evening, the puppies get snuggle time and playtime in the living room. They start to get tired around 10 PM when their family unwinds. After one last potty session, they go into their crate for bed.

The puppies live with several dogs in their foster home and are super playful with them all. They adore humans, from toddlers to adults. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss their plans for training and socialization to ensure the puppies are well-behaved adults. The puppies are working on their potty training and are making fabulous progress. We think Mickey Mouse himself sprinkled some magic on this duo because they are just paw-fect! With Broomstick, you’ll be swept away for the adventure of a lifetime!

Broomstick is only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Kids in the home should be over the age of 7.
