My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I'm Bonnie. Every day is a joyous adventure for me. I'm a sweet soul, always ready to share a loving nuzzle or a playful romp. I've got lots of energy, but I also know when it's time to settle down and just enjoy some quiet companionship. I love everyone I meet, always greeting them with a wagging tail and a friendly bark. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share all my love and enthusiasm. If you're looking for a loyal friend who will always be by your side, ready to play or just to lend a comforting presence, then I might just be the perfect match for you.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
