This three-year-old handsome hunk of a lab is the missing piece you've been waiting for! He's 77 pounds of good time goofiness that will brighten anyone's day!
An explorer at heart, Tank's curious and fun-loving nature makes him the ultimate companion. He's good on leash and will make an excellent walking/hiking buddy. Tank loves to spend his time sniffing every inch of the yard and running the fence with his canine companions. Due to his adventurous nature, our boy will require a tall (6 ft) fenced-in yard in his new home.
Not just a handsome face, Tank is so much more! House-trained and crate-trained, Tank aims to please. He was lucky enough to spend a few days away from the kennel and had a blast. He gets along well with other dogs his size, though he does tend to chase cats and other small animals, so he'll need to go to a family without any small furry friends. Check out his pics!
Some of our fabulous volunteers whisked Tank away on an adventure, and let me tell you, he was living his best life! Tank was the ultimate co-pilot, rocking it in the car like a champ! They explored the stunning Metamora State Park with a three-mile stroll! When they encountered other pups or people on the trail, Tank was a total gentleman on the leash. And oh boy, did he love the water (typical Lab)! To top off the fun, they treated Tank to a pup cup that he devoured with pure joy! These volunteers couldn't stop gushing about Tank's sweetness and smarts!
Tank is a very capable guy, who knows sit and is ready to learn even more. He's very food-motivated which will be a benefit when training him. He always takes his treats gently and is so much fun to be around. As he's still a younger pup, he will thrive on daily exercise and mental stimulation in his new home.
Based on our evaluation, we feel Tank would do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages 16 and up. He may have the potential to live with other dogs and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.
