My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THRIVING IN FOSTER! GOOD WITH KIDS & DOGS!

Hey everyone! Tank here from GLDR! I'm a three-year-old handsome hunk of a lab who is the missing piece you've been searching for! I'm 77 pounds of good time goofiness that will brighten anyone's day!

I was struggling in the kennel so I was thrilled when an amazing foster family offered to take me home. I'm currently living it up at their place until I find my forever family. Not only do I love their kids (ages 7 & 11), I also have two fur siblings I love to hang with. I enjoy playing with them and am respectful of my fur sister when she lets me know she wants her space. If you're looking for a pal for your family fur baby, I'm your guy! I've been known to chase cats and other small animals though, so I'll need to go to a family without any small furry friends.

House-trained and crate-trained, I aim to please! I enjoying nap in my crate during the day and after that, I'm ready to explore! My curious and fun-loving nature makes me the ultimate companion. I'm good on leash and will make an excellent walking/hiking buddy. Due to my adventurous nature, I'll need to go to a home with a 6 ft physical fence.

I've been told I'm very capable guy. I know my basic commands and am ready to learn even more. I prefer meaty treats and always take them gently. As I'm still a young man, I'll will thrive on daily exercise and mental stimulation in my new home. Thinking about a road trip? I'll be the ultimate co-pilot and look forward to all the places we can go together! Like most labs, I love the water and am also a fan of pup cups!

At the end of a fun-filled day, I always make time to snuggle with my foster family. I sleep quietly through the night, thankful for my foster family and dreaming of the day my forever family comes my way.

Based on their evaluation, my GLDR friends think I would do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages 8 and up. I'd love to have another pup to play with too! I'm up for a meet and greet anytime! Remember I do need a tall physical fence to keep me safe!

If I sound like your kind of pup, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application! Hope to see you soon!
