Hi! I'm Florence and I can't wait to meet you! I was found as a stray running around Woodford County and I got "Caught"! You should have heard me "Howl"; I thought, I will never be "Free" again! But once I got to the Woodford Humane Society and realized how safe I was and how good it felt to share "My Love", I got a "Breath of Life". Now I know my "Dog Days are Over". I've heard that "You've Got the Love" and I just know I'll soon be "Falling" for you! I have learned that I can have "All This and Heaven Too"! I'm waiting patiently for my "Cosmic Love". I know once we meet, you will "Never Let Me Go". And you can rest assured, I, too, will never let you go! So, what do you say? Can I call you "Mother"?

Thanks to Florence and the Machine, my namesake, for the soundtrack of my life thus far! I can't wait to learn the soundtrack of my future!

More about this shelter

The Woodford Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal organization located in Versailles, Kentucky. We provide shelter and care to the homeless and unwanted animals in Woodford County, surrounding counties, as well as animals from other states. We care for pets of all breeds and ages, with no time limit on their stay, and we are proud to maintain an annual placement rate of over 95%.

With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to continue to provide care to around a thousand animals each year.

Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and deworming while at our Adoption Center, feline leukemia and FIV screening for cats, heartworm screening for dogs, a microchip with a lifetime registration, a free veterinary checkup, and a starter bag of food.
