My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NUGGET is a brown tabby teenager kitty with dramatic stripes on his legs and tail. He is a charming, smart and energetic teenager who likes to be at the center of attention. Nugget enjoys morning cuddles in bed, lap time in the evenings and warming feet overnight. He loves to chase any wand toy offered, and he will play with a wide variety of toys on his own. Nugget is highly intelligent and will work for interactive play. He quickly learned to "boop" a finger with his nose and give high fives. Nugget likes to follow people around and can get underfoot at times. Nugget will likely take some time to warm up in a new home, but he is easily brought out of his shell with playtime and treats. Once he gets comfortable, you will be rewarded with a sweet boy who will become your devoted companion for life! Nugget is looking for a home with a quieter family who can engage his curious and smart nature

Nugget has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Nugget in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $155 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1.  ID 2404-C0122

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
