Meet Chap!
What on earth is he?! We have no idea but he sure is cute. Chap is 10 weeks old and just around 12 lbs. We think he will grow to around 35-40 lbs. He is a friendly little pup with a wonderful temperament. He listens well, is eager to learn, playful and great with everyone he meets. He eats well, plays hard, sleep well and is all around a great puppy.
A thorough write up from his foster family:
Chap really likes to play with toys or our older dogs. He LOVES bones - he will work on one for a good amount of time and his favorite is a cow ear. He likes his doggie foster siblings, but they only like to play for a couple minutes at a time and he's easy to redirect to a new activity.
He needs a moment to warm up to new people but is curious about them. He's a little slower to warm to men than women. Once they've been sitting with him for a few minutes, he will show them a toy or take a treat from them.
We have been working on engagement, sit, down, touch, release from crate and to food, spin (following a lure), and redirection from things he's not supposed to be playing with. He's a smart cookie and he's very food motivated! He has been left in the crate for maybe 45 mins. He slept while we were gone as far as we know.
He sleeps in the car crate or in your arms. We took a 2 hour car ride and he slept the whole time.
We love hanging out with this guy! He's a curious and optimistic puppy and has been thriving in apartment life. He's doing a great job processing the big world around him and we know he will make someone a lovely companion. He responds to the name we call him and just can't wait to explore the world.
Chap will be vaccinated, dewormed and chipped. He will be neutered at our cost when he is older. His adoption fee is $525
We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
