Meet Malarkey! This 5-month-old, 23-pound Basset Hound mix is a sweet and snuggly girl who’s ready to find her forever home. Malarkey is making great progress with house training and tolerates her crate, but she’d much rather curl up in bed with her people at night. She gets along well with both dogs and cats and enjoys running around in the yard, chewing on bones, and playing with her canine pals.

Though a bit more reserved and shy than her brother Shenanigans, Malarkey warms up quickly and loves being with her people. She’s been working on learning “sit” and loves the treats that come with practice. She hasn’t been exposed to young kids yet, but we’re confident she’d do well with them as she continues to learn to keep all four paws on the ground.

Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
