My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Audi girl, is estimated to be a 5 year old golden retriever poodle mix who is full of life and ready for her forever home! Unfortunately Audi came to us from a mass production type situation where she was a breeder dog however she did not let that stop her when it comes to how much she wants to be loved. Things to note about Audi: She does well in her kennel and gets so excited to see her people. She is seeming to be potty trained and has not had any accidents but living in a home is new for her so we ask that her forever family be patient. Her previous home did have children and she seemed to love them. She is dog friendly but does prefer a proper meet and greet just because everything/everyone is new to her. She does do well on the leash and so far hasn't showed any pulling because she does enjoy a good sniff and being with her person. Audi is available for adoption within 3 hours of Chicago. If you are interested in being considered for her you can apply directly. Her adoption fee does include her spay, up to date vaccines and preventatives, heartworm test, and microchip. If you have any questions prior to applying please email adopt@chicagorescueauthority.org   If you are viewing from adopt-a-pet to be considered a potential home for this dog please head to our website www.chicagorescueauthority.org and click on our adopt tab to apply directly!

Additional adoption info

Every dog is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a forever-home match. We are careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right dog with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet’s permanent home. These steps ensure that we have all the information needed to make the best placement for you or your family.

More about this rescue

At Chicago Rescue Authority, our mission is to create a compassionate world where every animal is treated with love, respect, and dignity. We are dedicated to educating the public about the adverse realities of the mass-production industry for puppies, raising awareness about responsible pet adoption and ownership, and actively working towards reducing the overpopulation of dogs in shelters.

Our promise to Chicago is to build our rescue on the tenets of teamwork, education and compassion. We will listen to the concerns and ideas of those around us and be ready to grow alongside this rescue and this mission.

Volunteers, fosters, donors and adopters will be the backbone of this organization, just like every other animal welfare non-profit. We will be hosting a variety of fundraisers and mixers throughout the year aimed at building our support network. We can’t wait to meet all the animals whose lives we are going to change!
