My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Parker, our sweet girl who was at Morse Park for over 4 weeks, is ready for adoption!

She has been in a foster since day 1 of rescue. Here’s a little information from the foster family!

“Parker has a long road to go with her trust issues. She's slowly trusting us, but she still shies away. She MUST be on a leash at all times outside or she will run from you and you WILL NOT be able to catch her. She doesn’t eat kibble (even mixed in with wet food). She only eats wet food. Something that should definitely be worked on to introduce kibble (only wet food is very bad on their teeth). She’s only had 2 accidents in the house but only when we have been gone for several hours. Each time we go outside, she will potty. She definitely LOVES couches, dog beds, and our bed. She sleeps on our bed every night. She prefers to be around the family, not by herself. That’s the only time she will bark. She’s indifferent to kids, dogs, and cats. Does not have a mean bone in her body. Loves cheese of any kind. Rides in the car very well!"

She does have a microchip. It is not registered. She is previously spayed.

She got a clean bill of health from the vet. Blood work was all normal! Estimated around 8yrs+.

She will need an adopter that understands we do not know what happened to her. It will take a lot of time for her to trust, she needs patience and lots of TLC. She doesn’t want to play, she doesn’t care about toys, she still doesn’t wag her tail. She prefers to sleep all day.

If you’re interested in adopting Parker, please go to our website www.ffaaneosho.org and fill out an adoption application or come into the shelter to meet her. She is here Wednesday-Saturday 10-5.

Please understand this situation is unusual. This will not be first come first serve, but the right fit for Parker. She will continue to stay in foster care until we have found that right fit.
