My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Minnie🐾:

Minnie is an 9-month-old brown pittie mix with big, floppy ears that just add to her irresistible charm!
She's a sweet and energetic pup who loves spending time with our volunteers, whether it's going for walks, jogs, or just soaking up some affection. Minnie is always up for an adventure and loves being around people.
While she enjoys her outings, she's not a fan of heading back to her kennel afterward. Minnie is ready to leave the kennel life behind and find a place where she can feel at home-somewhere she can enjoy her walks, snuggle time, and all the love she deserves.
If you're looking for a fun, loving companion with plenty of personality, come meet Minnie today-she's waiting to share her love with you!.

More about this shelter

In 1987, an initial attempt was made to organize a local humane society in Caroline County. While this attempt did not succeed, those same dedicated volunteers were not deterred.

From our humble beginnings 30 years ago, to where we are today, we are proud to be called “the little shelter that could”.

We provide service to our community through pet adoption, Rabies Clinics, Trap-Neuter-Return, Pet Pantry, Pet Lost & Found, Re-homing, Intake Diversion, Cremation
