My name is Hampton!

Hampton came to the shelter from the city pound on Aug. 10th. He had more than fulfilled his legal hold time and no owner ever came for him. He appears to be some sort of shepherd/husky mix and is around 2 years old. There could be some border collie in there, too. He's friendly and happy. He's been vet checked, microchipped, neutered, and his fee is $150.

Hampton is pretty well mannered and has had a little basic training. He's smart and ready for more. He will shed so a potential adopter should be prepared for that. We do think that he'd be okay with other dogs of similar size and older kids. NO smaller animals for him as he has demonstrated a bit of a prey drive. He's an active and strong dog who will require a lot of exercise to keep him happy. He's very loving and playful and enjoys people and giving hugs.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.
