Rusty is a 5-year-old neutered male who came to us as an owner surrender, Rusty was loved very much by his former family, and it’s been hard on both parties. Rusty is standoffish with new people and would prefer a quiet home without children. He would benefit from socialization and basic obedience to build confidence. When he meets new people all 70lbs of him nervously vibrates. He does warm up to women faster than men, his foster dad is giving him some space and trying to win him over with treats, but Rusty is not sold yet.
He is fostered with 3 other dogs and is doing great! He does not seem interested in playing with them but does enjoy their company. He is house broken and figured out how to go out the dog door quickly . He Is still trying to figure out how to come in the dog door. His foster mom kennels him when he is home alone to help him have a safe spay and he does great in the kennel, but he has been very trustworthy in the house.
We would love to find a home who will give Rusty the time to settle in and become the best friend we know he can be.
