My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Midge is a 12 year old 23 pound Cocker Spaniel that is eager for her forever home! She was a 'stray' dropped at a local shelter in the worst shape we have seen a dog in quite some time, covered in pee and poop with mats so thick and long we don't know how she was able to move. Midge was suffering from a UTI, ear infections, a mouth full of rotten teeth, and painful eyes that were difficult to look at and she couldn't even see with. It's been a long road of fixing this girl up, but she has been an absolute sweetheart the entire way! Now it's time for her to find a family of her own. Yes Midge is blind and her eyes were removed, but she navigates like a sighted dog would, alerts when she needs to go out and potty, adjusts to her surroundings and routine in less than 24 hours, and never makes a peep. Midge does have allergies that she gets a shot for every 6 weeks, and eats prescription food to ward off ear infections and allergy skin issues which have worked well for her. She only take Proin once a day due to periodically leaking urine from a terrible UTI she had for a long time which caused mild incontinence. Other than that she is completely housetrained and had one of the best personalities ever! She truly is a perfect senior Spaniel looking for a nice warm place with humans to love on her for the rest of her days. Won't you give her a chance? To adopt Midge, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, spay, dental, bilateral enucleation, and all the love you can handle! Peace Love and Poms Rescue is not a shelter environment. All our dogs are placed in loving foster homes where they are treated like family until a forever home is found. This means all approved applicants will need to make an appointment with the foster pawrents to meet their potential new pet.
