Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Martinsville, IN
Meet Rhenna! She is a 1-year-old Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix and weighs 44 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, and on heartworm prevention, but isn’t up to date on shots (except for rabies). Rhenna is nervous around strangers! She is good with older children and cats! She is also good with the other dogs inside of the home but hasn’t been tested around dogs outside of the home. She hasn’t been tested around younger children. She is housebroken and crate trained.
She was originally found as a stray in the neighborhood, but her owner was never found. Rhenna snaps/tries to herd the other dogs if they are playing with their ball. She has never hurt the other dogs, but they are unable to play ball while Rhenna is outside. Rhenna bit the owner’s lower leg when the owner was holding her collar while trying to kick the ball to the other dogs. Rhenna snapped at the other dogs while they were taking off after the ball, but accidentally bit the owner on her lower leg. The current owner is surrendering her because they are unable to provide the time and attention that she needs. She needs to go ASAP!
If you think you can provide a great home for Rhenna, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Rhenna.

More about this rescue
Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.
In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 80,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.
Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.
We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
