My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name’s Nellie, and I’m a 2-year-old lab hound mix with a heart as big as the Tennessee sky.
I’ve spent most of my days tucked away in a crate, but I’m finally ready to stretch my legs and find a family to love. With a little TLC, some antibiotics for my skin, and a "manny peddy" (fancy, right?), I’m feelin’ better than ever!🥰
I’m sweet as sweet tea and can’t wait to meet someone who’ll give me a place to call home. If you’re lookin’ for a loyal companion who’ll fill your days with joy, stop by Giles County Animal Shelter and say howdy to me, Nellie! I’ll be waggin’ my tail, waitin’ for ya!

Any dog impounded by our shelter can be reclaimed by his rightful owner during a 72 hour hold period. If the dog brought in has any type of identification we will make reasonable effort to contact the owner and the hold period will be 5 business days.
