My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Calling All Seasoned Travelers!**
Meet Emmett, one-year-old shepherd mix on the ultimate quest for his forever destination.
This adventurer recently found himself seeking shelter at a local hotel—though the guests weren’t quite prepared for his lively personality! All he was really after was a cozy bed to call her own.

Whether you're looking to foster or adopt, he is prepared to become the best travel companion you could ask for.
Swing by the Giles County Animal Shelter if you’d like to meet him in person:
**Monday-Friday**: 10-3
**Saturday**: 10-2
**Sunday**: 12-2

More about this shelter

It is our mission to inform our community of the state laws and city ordinances in place for vaccinations, tethering/chaining, and sheltering needs. Any dog impounded by our shelter can be reclaimed by his rightful owner during a 72 hour hold period. If the dog brought in has any type of identification we will make reasonable effort to contact the owner and the hold period will be 5 business days. Once the hold period is up, all healthy/adoptable dogs will be put up for adoption or sent to a registered 501(c)3 rescue. Please LIKE and SHARE our page to see incoming dogs!
