My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🖤 Cinder and her 3 littermates came to OFR in 2023 when they were only a couple weeks old. They all found homes several months later, and they were each so loved.

➡️ Fast forward one year, and OFR received a message from Cinder’s devastated adopter. The adopter was having mobility issues and was unable to provide the care and attention that Cinder needed. OFR was able to take her back, and Cinder is thriving!

Cinder is a BIG girl (who should probably lose a couple pounds, if we’re being honest 😅), with a sweet personality. She is a clingy cat who follows her foster from room to room. She loves a good window perch -she’s (unofficially) part of the neighborhood watch 👀

If you’re looking for a cat to sleep on your lap, Cinder is your girl 🥰 Soft pets can lull her to sleep, and she’ll stay put for hours. She is very vocal about when she wants attention, which is just about every waking second. Cinder is friendly with respectful children. Other kitties are okay too (with a proper introduction, of course)!

Cinder is ready for her forever home where she can get lots of quality time ❤️ Apply today, if you have room in your home and heart for Cinder!

Additional adoption info

Each pet that is available for adoption is in a foster home for a minimum of 2 weeks after being rescued. This allows the animal to decompress and show their true personality, which in turn helps us find their best match.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Visit https://operationfreedomride.com/ and click "available pets" to see who is available for adoption.

Periodically we have adoption events around the greater Rochester, NY area; however, we largely rely on the application process to best match people/families with available pets and then set-up a meet and greet to make sure it's a great match before finalizing the adoption.
