My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I’m Waffles, and I just had the most amazing adventure! Let me tell you all about it.

I spent some quality time at a foster home, where I enjoyed cozy naps and some playful moments. My favorite part? I got to explore my surroundings and meet some new friends! I always made sure to go potty outside like a good pup, and let me tell you, I was pretty well-behaved!

During my adventure, I met lots of new people, and it was so exciting! My tail wouldn’t stop wagging and I was jumping for joy! I even got to meet some kids, and they loved my happy, friendly vibe. I was all about the pets and attention!

I also met other dogs, and we had a blast playing together! I was a little excited at first, but I quickly settled in and enjoyed our time. On our walks, I loved smelling everything and exploring woodsy areas—those are my favorite spots!

I have to admit, though, I was a bit timid at times. There was this loud train behind the shelter that scared me, but my human was really sweet and picked me up to comfort me. I was also a little nervous in the car, but I stayed quiet the whole ride, and once we got home, I was all about the windows—squirrels are fascinating!

I’m housebroken and had no accidents, which I think is pretty impressive! I started off as my human`s shadow, following them everywhere, but I eventually felt more comfortable exploring on my own. I love giving kisses and `standing hugs,` and I even snuggled up for some cozy sleep.

Sometimes I bark at dogs and people through the window, but I’m much better when I meet them in person. I’m getting the hang of walking on a leash too, although I can get a little excited and dart around. A sturdy harness is definitely a must for me!

I can be a bit jumpy and cautious, especially with things that open up—those can really spook me. But I’m brave and curious at heart! I love food and treats, but I tend to scurry away to eat them, just to be safe.

Oh, and I’m super playful! I have a lot of energy and love to zoom around, so I think older kids or a dog sibling would be the best fit for me. I’d love a big fenced yard to play chase in!

I can be okay being alone for a short time, but I definitely like to know my human is nearby. I’m still learning about toys, and while I do enjoy chewing on them, I also might need help remembering what is a toy and isn`t! But boy am I a smart cookie and ready to learn!

So, if you’re looking for a sweet, adventuro
