Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Michael is a handsome 2-year old male Collie mix who was brought to the HSOV on October 16, 2024 after he was picked up on Chapel Avenue in Marietta Ohio by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden. Michael was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.

This good-looking boy has a black-and-white coat, a long tail, and a beautiful symmetrically-marked face with brown/copper eyes, a black button nose, a long slender muzzle, and semi-erect ears.

Michael was a little apprehensive when he first entered our shelter but soon realized that he was with a great group of guys and girls who already loved him .

Michael was the perfect gentleman when HSOV Manager Tracy Lynn offered to treat him to some one-on-one time for outdoor photos after closing time on October 16th. This gorgeous guy has a super sweet personality and was a pleasure to photograph.

Michael continued to enjoy extra TLC from his newly-formed fan club when he came back indoors, and he loved the 'good boy' treats which were offered to him .. And Michael freely gave sweet puppy kisses to the ladies in attendance. He also enjoyed a little relaxation and snuggled up on the lobby couch between HSOV Executive Director Amy Rogers and HSOV Volunteer Emma Dahlgren before heading back to his large floor crate (since all of our kennels were already 'booked' by other residents).

Michael weighs 38 lbs and could easily gain a few pounds to fill out his slim trim physique.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Michael will be held for three days to give his family an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.

Update: Michael went home with a foster family on November 23, 2024 who plans to adopt him after he is neutered.
