Hello there! I'm Forrest, named after that famous movie character, Forrest Gump. Just like him, I've had some mobility issues in the past, but I'm all better now. You should see me chase a laser pointer! I've got a lot of love to give and I'm looking for someone who can appreciate my unique blend of silly and sweet. I promise to bring laughter, love, and a little bit of mischief into your life. I love my shelter family, but I really want a home to call my own. I get overlooked because I require a special diet, it just helps me stay regular, if you catch my drift, but that doesn't stop me from being the life of the party. I'm looking for a family who can appreciate my quirky personality and accommodate my dietary needs. Adopt me and let's make some fun memories together!

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
