HAPPIEST IN A QUIET-ISH, LESS ACTIVE HOME THAT LOVES A WONDERFUL KITTY AROUND ALL THE TIME. GENTLE KIDS OKAY. GREAT WITH OTHER CATS, NOT TESTED WITH DOGS. I'm a sleek beauty that seems to have a lot of Oriental breed mixed in. I'm very friendly and LOVE people, and they are very important to me! I'm a little worried about being in new places when by myself. I spend at least half of my time here under my blankets. But when people show up, or I hear my name called, you'll see me peek out and hurry out to see you! I don't need to be afraid when people are around, so you will be the reason I settle in very quickly in my forever home! I do get startled with commotion or loud noises, but I bounce right back, quickly if you're there. I have very short fur, but I'm silky soft and REALLY enjoy being pet. I'm very affectionate and love to be near you. I'm a little chatty with my soft voice and love when you talk with me! Even though I'm a little nervous being new here, I do play with my toys a little. I just found that I love playing with the feather wand toy with my new friends! I've also started playing with the motion activated toy that spins under a sheet with a butterfly on top (from Amazon). I'm a youngster and I do like to be silly once in awhile. They'll be trying to find new things for me to have fun doing each day. I love laying on squishy blankets, so put some on the furniture and places around the house. I would like having a cat tree near the window and a cozy bed to curl up in. I'm sure to enjoy a covered bed in a quiet part of the room too. I don't seem to mind other cats at all. In fact, I am starting to be a little cuddly with some of them! I'm a good eater and love treat time! I will eat a few and then ask nicely for more. Let me take them as you hold them out one at a time for me! I have a very gentle nature that's loving and even fun! I'll easily be your new BFF!

More about this shelter
The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.
Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.
Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
