Meet Bama! Bama is about 12 years old, currently 16 lbs (but needs to loose some weight), and she may have some Chihuahua in her mix! Her owner passed away and Bama didn't have anyone else who could take her in.
In her foster home, she is working on her house-training, crate-training and leash-walking. She could go to a home with other calm dogs, cats and/or teenagers.
Her foster says, "Bama will win you over with her silly charm. She plays in doggy day camp every day, sometimes just to sniff other dogs, other times to enjoy a quick run or wrestle. She likes to lay out in the sun during the day and loves to snuggle on the couch with her human at night. The only time she really barks is if she is excited and you ask her how she is doing. She will answer. I sing Black Betty to her every single day and she seems to know it is her song. She has a voracious appetite and needs to be watched carefully with other dogs, as she will "clean up" after them. The more weight she has lost, the more energy we have seen. We do have her on glucosamine every morning."
She is available for adoption with an approved adopter by appointment in Milford or Hopkinton, MA. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step
-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises. -Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt. - More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
