Hi – I’m Matilda. My foster mom calls me Tilly! I’m a mix with ears for days! I can’t tell you much about my history – some nice ladies from Spot’s Last Stop came to bust a couple of other dogs out of the local pound. I was so adorable and sweet, they just couldn’t leave me behind, so I was given the chance to leave the shelter and stay in a foster home until I find my forever home.
Here’s some things my new family should know about me:
I sleep quietly in my kennel through the night and go in for periods during the day with no complaints.
I am fully potty trained as long as I am given regular reminders to go outside.
I love to wrestle and play with my foster dog brother. Once I get some play time, I settle down nicely and like to take a nap near my foster mom while she works.
I have already received lots of training while in rescue! In fact I was lucky to go to a special trainer to help me learn how to meet people and learn new skills. I know how to sit and am excited to learn more and do more training. I love treats and learn quickly!
I’m a little shy at first with new people, but I warm up quickly. I do best when people don't approach me immediately upon meeting me. I like to approach new people for affection after a few minutes of being around them.
I need an owner who will advocate for me and keep me safe.
I love pets, belly rubs and snuggles. I also love kissing your face, but if you tell me not to, that's OK, too!
I love going for walks and am doing really well walking on a leash.
I tend to be a home body- a fenced yard, a playful pup and a calm home is best for me. Although I am good with children I know, I do not feel great with all the coming and going, so no children please.
I would love to have another playful dog in my forever home, but it’s not essential, as long as my family is committed to keeping me socialized with other dogs.
I am smart and willing to work hard and learn- I am loving and want to please my people.
I’m so happy to be out of the shelter, and can’t wait to find my family! Let's meet and see how much we love each other!
