Ggotnim, which means 'flower' in Korean, is our sweet 2-4 year old female Tosa Inu. Though she's big on the outside, this gentle girl can be quite shy at first. Once she warms up to you though, she'll never leave your side and only want snuggles and soft things.
In December 2023, Ggotnim and 11 other dogs were cruelly used in a political protest by the Dog Meat Farmers Association in Korea. Left abandoned, terrified, sick, and malnourished in small cages, in the street, they were transported to Sejong City Shelter. This Shelter was not prepared to care for the dogs, resulting in Ggotnim being rescued from unimaginable conditions due to no treatment or care available.
Since her rescue, Ggotnim has been rehabilitated and is now a sweet, affectionate companion. She loves curling up on anything soft and plush, or laying her head on you for support. Ggotnim is just learning to play with her foster siblings, loves following around her foster's cat for smells and head butts, and can typically be found snoozing in various places of the apartment.
