My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Beautiful young adult female husky mix, smart and friendly.

Meet Perla, a very sweet and friendly young female who loves to hug her humans, she will wrap her paws around you to be cuddled! Perla was abandoned at a construction site in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. She was young and had 4 other male dogs chasing after her, trying to mate with her. She was scared but also very friendly, and we were able to rescue her and get her vaccinated and sterilized. She is now a healthy, active girl who loves playing with her foster mates, both male and female dogs, likes to go on walks and go to the beach! She's slim, gorgeous with her snow white coat, one blue eye and one brown. Perla is also very smart, and has already learned how to sit for treats. She has a high drive and loves looking for birds and bunnies on her walks, and is food motivated, so we think she is very easy to train and is ready to become someone's very special dog. If you put the time in to teach her new things, there's no doubt she will surprise you with her ability to learn and become an active and very loving member of your family!

More about this rescue

Woofs and Wags Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 Non-profit dog rescue in San Diego, CA

Woofs and Wags Dog Rescue was founded by volunteers in San Diego. Our goal is to "Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome" rescued dogs from San Diego and Baja California.

We love Baja and understand that it is a struggle for some of the people to provide a proper home and care for their dogs. We rescue dogs that are running through traffic, starving on the streets and have no one to care for them. Sadly, many are in poor condition and need medical care. We provide that care with the help of volunteers and veterinarians on both sides of the border. Our adoption fees are used to pay for the care of these pups.

Our dogs and puppies are kept in loving foster homes until they find their forever homes. If you see a dog/puppy you would like to meet, we will put you in touch with the foster family. We also do adoption events around San Diego, please check our website for upcoming events.

Our "Baja Blends" as we like to call them make wonderful pets and will shower you with love to show you how grateful they are to be in a loving home.

We are most grateful to those who adopt a dog that has been rescued and especially one of ours.
