Zuko was brought into our care by his previous owner on October 15, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Zuko, a playful and smart pup with a lot of love to give! He has a positive history with other dogs and does well with older children who can handle his occasional jumpiness when he's excited. Zuko knows his basic commands, including sit, down, stay, back, drop it, and even "home" for going into his crate-he's quite the clever boy! However, he can get stressed when left alone, so he'd thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to keep him company. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion, Zuko might just be your perfect match!

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized.
