All of our adoptable animals are up to date on routine vaccinations, microchipped and spayed or neutered. If the animal is too young a certificate for the spay/neuter is included in the adoption fee. Please CLICK HERE to complete our online adoption application.

Many of our animals can be seen at our adoption center located at 5820 Richmond Rd, Texarkana, TX on Saturdays between 10 am - 3 pm. To make arrangements to meet any of our animals, please call us at 1-877-525-4825, option 2.

We received tiny Bailey ARae after suffering some type of unknown trauma. Head and neck tilted at a right angle and unable to walk well. Howling and barking for hours after intake. meds started to control pain and inflammation until she could be seen by vet Monday 7/15/2024. Suspect/fear head injury. Was vastly improved Sunday with meds so hoping the damage is reversible. She must not weigh more than 3 lbs if that and is sweet but scared upon first meeting.

Update!!! Bailey Rae has come through her illness with flying colors and has been spayed and had her teeth cleaned! She is one hundred percent healthy now and ready for her furever home. She is a precious lap baby that takes just a little bit to warm up to you but when she does, she will be your best friend and follow you everywhere!

More about this rescue

Texarkana Animal League (TAL) is a group of volunteers that is dedicated to improving the welfare of animals in our shelter & community. We operate out of a facility where both cats and dogs are sheltered until they find their forever home. Some of our animals are also in foster homes.

Our mission is to provide protection and care for abandoned, abused, neglected and unwanted companion animals. We also want to promote animal welfare through programs and services that mutually benefit animals and people.

All proceeds benefit animal care and adoptions, and assist with our community outreach programs such as a low-income spay/neuter assistance program (SNAP), as well as educational and service projects to assist TAL's belief that all animals are deserving of life, respect and care.

In 2017, we altered almost 300 animals in the community with our SNAP Program.
