Iandamp;#39;ve kissed a pig, and I liked it! LOL, I really have! Iandamp;#39;m Eeyore, and Iandamp;#39;ve been living in a foster home with a really nice lady, two dogs, and a pig, and we all get along quite well. Iandamp;#39;m housebroken, kennel trained, and Iandamp;#39;m just a dear young boy who wants ever so much to have a family and home of his own.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Before getting to Great Plains, I was out on the run for awhile. It was a scary and difficult time for me, but I made it through. KC Dog Trappers are an amazing group of dog rescuers, and they rescued me! Thankfully now, Iandamp;#39;ve made a lot of new friends that help me be less timid and feel more brave. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;m dog friendly, super sweet, and ready for a forever home. I would love a family who understands that Iandamp;#39;ve spent a lot of my life all by my lonesome. But Iandamp;#39;m learning about the good things in life. While I am timid, Iandamp;#39;m also learning to open up and trust. Iandamp;#39;m housebroken, friendly, soft and warm, mellow and relaxed. I adore squeaky toys, and I love soft treats and cheese! I believe I was born to be a couch potato, and I was born to be your best friend. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Donandamp;#39;t you think you wanna meet me? Call the shelter and set up a meet and greet with me. Iandamp;#39;d love to get to know you. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Love from Eeyore

Please note that we operate by first come, first serve along with adoption approval. Wait times may vary depending on the time of week and day.
We are reserving Mondays and Tuesdays for appointments for members of the public who are immunocompromised or are still uncomfortable being in large crowds due to COVID-19.
If you have any questions about our adoptable pets, please call (913) 831-7722 or email adoptions@greatplainsspca.org. Our expert matchmakers look forward to finding you the perfect furry family member!
Adoption Requirements:
- Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.
- Adopters must complete a survey and present photo identification to meet any of our animals.
- For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets.
- Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $350. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.
