My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Agatha is a shy but incredibly sweet cat who is looking for a patient and loving forever home. With her soft, velvety fur and big, curious eyes, Agatha has a gentle charm that captures hearts. Though she may be timid at first, once she feels safe, Agatha's true affectionate nature shines through. She loves quiet spaces where she can observe her surroundings, and she'll reward her adopter's patience with soft purrs and cuddles. Agatha is the perfect companion for someone who appreciates the quiet, comforting presence of a gentle soul who just needs a little time to bloom.

We don't know much about her past, she may do okay with another cat in the home after a slow and careful introduction. A quiet household with no small children would be an ideal place for her.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort
