Catarina is an intelligent, beautiful, long-haired, green-eyed Maine coon mix, evidenced by her large furry paws and gift of gab. Her previous owner was moving and threatened to throw his cats in the woods unless someone took them, so TC Paw took them in and placed in a foster home, where her foster mom calls her Cat. Not well cared for in her old home, Cat was obese and so badly matted that she had to be shaved. She is losing weight now and feeling better all the time. Her long hair is coming back, and she enjoys being brushed. Cat can be extremely affectionate and loving but will let you know when she has had enough. Because of this, she’ll do best as the only pet in a stable and understanding home without young children, where she can progress at her own speed. She loves to window sit and to chase anything that moves. She gets plenty of exercise chasing a laser pointer. She sleeps at the side of her foster’s pillow or at the end of her bed. She has excellent litter box skills and uses a cardboard scratching post faithfully. She likes to slap at her water bowl but is not too rambunctious about it. She has a wonderful purr when she’s not “talking” and does both a lot. Cat will make a wonderful loving companion if given the opportunity.
