My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello. My name is Barney, and I am a sweet old man that unfortunately came to the shelter as a stray. I am slow moving these days at 15 years old, but that doesn't mean I don't have all the love in the world to give! I am friendly with everyone I meet, but given my age, I would prefer a quieter home where I can just relax and live out the rest of my days! I came in with other dogs and don't react to all the other dogs here, so we know I would do well with other pups in my future home as well! I am a bit arthritic, so I really don't require much exercise - just a comfy bed to rest my head on! Think you could help an old boy out and take me home?

HSSC places animals on a first come, first serve basis. After an animal that is available for adoption has been met with, the animal’s name can be put on an application. Animals that are applied for must be adopted the same day or within 24 hours of the animal being placed on the adoption application. Exceptions will be made if any animal needs a medical procedure, but then will need to be adopted within 24 hours of being cleared from that procedure. HSSC reserves the right to accommodate alternate timelines for special needs/behavioral issue animals.
It is the potential adopter's responsibility to communicate with their landlord to contact HSSC for approval or to provide documentation stating permission within 24 hours of application submission.
It is also the potential adopter's responsibility to produce a current rabies certificate for their current dog(s) to conduct a dog to dog meet and greet within 24 hours of application submission.
