A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.

Fence needed? Yes, Callie requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller.
What kind of home would be best for me? Meet Callie, a beautiful young Golden Doodle with a heart full of love and a smile that will melt yours! Callie has never known life as a pet, and never known life without the companionship of other dogs. Her forever home needs another large, confident dog in the home for socialization, guidance and play. She would love it if her adopter is home more than they are away; if you aren't, there needs to be a solid plan for consistent training and socialization. Callie is fine with small dogs; she has not been cat tested yet.
What is my personality like? Callie was surrendered to us by a retiring breeder, and she's just discovering the big wide world. Here at CPR, she discovered that people can be pretty nice to be around. Initially afraid of interactions, Callie has blossomed with kindness and now eagerly seeks out pets, ear scratches, and belly rubs.
Callie is a happy girl who loves playing with the dogs and enjoys games of fetch with a ball, a Kong, or a stuffed animal. She will happily retrieve most anything you toss for her, a Kong, stuffed animal, or ball. Anything you throw, she'll chase. Callie has definitely discovered the joys of the game fetch. Callie's adopter will need to teach her how to walk on a leash as well as commands like come, down, sit, and stay. These training sessions will be a great bonding experience for both Callie and her adopter!
Callie is opening up and learning to trust people. She warms up quickly, although she may be a bit cautious upon first meeting new people. If you are ready to open your heart and home to Callie, she's eager to shower you with love!
How do I act when I first meet new people? Callie adores people and loves to be loved! She will take a moment to warm to strangers, but once she does, she'll seek your constant attention. The joy on her face during pets and belly rubs is truly heartwarming. We think that's Callie's plan, to win you over with that smile - she's a smart girl!

House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.

Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you.
