Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We have a ground transport trip set to leave from CA on 10/22 that we are personally taking our dogs on to the east coast. We have stops in OH, PA, NJ, and CT as of now, and would love to add Katie to our transport for the right home no matter where you are in route! Adoption fee/travel is due when we arrive in person with Katie as we want our adopters to feel as comfortable as possible throughout the entire adoption process ❤️
Meet Katie ❤️
She is a 3 year old purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She weighs right under 19 lbs and yes, she is full grown. She is spayed, current on all vaccines, microchipped, had a thourel exam with our vet, and has been cleared to find a home all her own 😊
She is house trained, and will go outside throughout the day as she needs to. She is great about sitting at the door and patiently waiting for you to open it. She is crate trained and currently sleeps in her crate at night, or to nap in during the day (by choice) as she really loves her own little cozy place. She is leash trained, and LOVES her walks! She is sooooo happy when her harness, and leash come out. Her tail never stops wagging ☺️
She is amazing on road trips, no matter the distance. She is an amazing road trip partner, and is always ready for any length of adventure with her person. She is very outgoing, and just loves being a part of all that you do, however she can. She is VERY easy going, and extremely easy to please. Just having her human by her side, to enjoy her days with fill her heart with an overabundance of joy that is evident to see and especially a blessing to be a part of ❤️
She is phenomenal with cats and dogs alike! She is EVERY SINGLE animals friend. She LOVES men, women, and children. No matter who you are, she will greet you with the same love as she does the next. She is a genuine sweetheart, and to be loved by her is a gift all in its own 💕
She is GREAT at the groomers, and is always up for a day of pampering. Our groomer loves her too, so it's a happy day on both ends 😊
She is KIND, CARING, ATTENTIVE, LOYAL, PATIENT, and has a very UNDERSTANDING heart ♥️ She will lay in your lap while you talk to her as if she can understand every single thing you are telling her with the most doting eyes as if you are the most important person in her entire world in that very moment (I truly believe to Katie, YOU are just that to her ❤️.)
She is NOT a barker, and is very quiet by nature. She is very affectionate, gentle, and SMART. She knows basic commands like sit, stay, come, and crate (always praying treats are involved 😂.) She is a foodie at heart, and I mean at HEART! She will sit and stare at the oven when you bake, or try to figure out what chair is hers at the dining table 🤣 She is very clever in her attempts to convince you that she deserves a placemat at dinner time right aside yours😅
She belonged to an older lady, who unfortunately passed away. She didn't have any extended family, so one of her dear friends contacted us and asked us to please take her in and find her the best home possible so here we are ❤️
She is a special girl and I promise you that your life and heart will never be the same if you choose to add her to your life 😉❤️
Her adoption fee will be higher than most you see on our website soley because of the amount of vetting she had done. Yes, we have all vet records ❤️
She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. She was in heat at time of her spay, which required additional anesthesia time to ensure her surgery went smoothly. She had mild tarter on her teeth, so my vet did a dental cleaning and polish, along with a couple extractions that were needed while she was under anesthesia. During her exam our vet noticed she had a large umbilical hernia so he opted to repair it so that she didn't have any further issues that needed to be addressed in her next home.
Between her in-heat spay/dental cleaning/extractions/and hernia repair her vet costs exceed what we are asking in her adoption fee. She needed additional anesthesia time in all areas mentioned above, IV fluids, stronger pain meds to go home, and an antibiotic shot that was given to aid in the healing of all that was done.
And, as always; her adoption fee typcially goes back into her overall care during the time she has been with us, along with her grooming costs, and training we have personally done with her ❤️ But with her vet care needing the most attention consider the rest an act of love on our end ❤️🙂
Adoption fee is at the very bottom of her adoption listing on our website at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/katie
