Meet Pumpkin! This sweet, goofy 11-week-old female, possibly a shepherd mix, is full of energy and love. Pumpkin’s journey began as a stray in Kentucky, where she was found with a bag over her head. Thankfully, she was saved and is now ready for a new start. After being rescued, she made her way to Pennsylvania on a 12-hour transport, and she’s now looking for her forever home. Surprisingly, she is still friendly, happy, and confident despite her rough start.

Presently, Pumpkin weighs 15 pounds but we assume she has a lot of growing to do. So, if size matters? – then Pumpkin may not be the right choice for you.

Pumpkin needs adopters who will give her all the love she deserves and be committed to training her as she grows. She will be AVAILABLE for adoption on October 23—don’t miss the chance to make this playful pup part of your family!

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

Additional adoption info

Filling out an application is the first step. An online application is located on Haven to Home's homepage. Application, references, home visit and adoption fee are required to adopt one of our dogs. Due to the severe overpopulation of dogs in this country Haven to Home believes that responsible pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Therefore it is our policy not to adopt our dogs to people who do not have their current animals spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason. Adoption fees are listed on our website.

Haven to Home Canine Rescue is an all volunteer organization that was founded in June 2008. We do not have a shelter, but use foster homes to care for the dogs that are awaiting their forever homes. FOSTER HOMES are the HAVEN in Haven to Home. We are a non-profit, 501(c)3, organization.
