Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This lovable goofball is looking for a forever home! Hero is a 2-year-old pup with a charming underbite, endless energy, and a heart full of love. He's smart and eager to learn, currently working on his social skills.
Hero was adopted at just 6 months old but, unfortunately, was surrendered a couple of months ago due to his high energy and the family's preference to keep their furniture fur-free, though he's not much of a shedder. Despite being crated often most days, he shows very little aversion to it and has proven he's not destructive when left alone in it. Despite this setback, Hero remains a sweet and resilient boy. He's also fully potty trained and with some patience and guidance, he'll thrive in an active home that can provide him with the exercise and mental stimulation he craves. After which, he'll cuddle up and enjoy a good snooze.
As long as there's a slow introduction, Hero gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and is great with cats too. He's currently working on his social skills with other animals and humans, but he thrives in a home with older kids and bigger, more confident dogs. He loves our 9 and 11-year-olds and our 70lb pitty!
While Hero is eager to jump up in excitement, we recommend a home without very young children. He's a smart boy who's ready to learn and grow with the right family.
If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who's ready to bring joy and laughter into your life, Hero is your guy! Let's help him find the loving home he deserves.
Adoption fee includes DHPP vaccine, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) heartworm testing, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, wellness vet visit, one month of pet insurance and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian. Please fill out our application at https://gkarma.wufoo.com/forms/good-karma-pet-rescue-dog-adoption-screening/ if you would like to adopt or meet this dog, and we will be in touch right away!

We have a quick but thorough adoption process. We ask you to fill out an application and we will touch base with you by phone. If we feel you are a good fit for the animal you would like to adopt based upon your application, we will want to do a home visit and have you meet the pet. If everything checks out, we will ask that you sign an adoption contract and pay a donation - usually $75 for cats and $150 for dogs. This includes all vetting, spay/neuter, vaccines, etc.
Our contract allows us to come visit you and your new family member after the adoption to make sure everything is going well and your new pet is happy & healthy.

More about this rescue
Good Karma Pet Rescue is a small network of foster homes in South Florida dedicated to providing dogs and cats in need with the love and help they need and deserve.
GK was started in 2011 by Stacey Chen, who decided that she could best provide for her foster animals by starting a rescue that aims for best care rather than high volume. We intend to stay as small as we need to be to ensure that every one of our foster animals is treated with the same care and respect we show our own furry family.
GK is based in Fort Lauderdale and is supported by wonderful, dedicated foster parents throughout the South Florida area. If you are interested in helping to save lives through volunteering, fostering, or adopting, please get in touch with us!
