My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am Maya, I am an intelligent, curious, affectionate and energetic pup with so much joy and love to share. My human adopted me from the Seattle Animal Shelter in June after fostering me for a few weeks. I am potty trained, crate trained and know all my basic commands. I have been working with trainers to help with my leash reactivity, but my prey drive is very high - I want to chase all the squirrels.

I was diagnosed with Osteochondritis in my shoulders, but my human has been giving me joint supplements and so this hasn't kept me from living a full life. I love to go on walks with my human and play with my toys, but my high energy and intelligence are more than his health and his schedule can handle. He has never had a young dog before and didn't know what he was getting into with me! I generally prefer women over men and would benefit being around an older, more confident dog who can be a good role model for me.
