My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Baritone, the stunning one-year-old male India Blue Peacock. His train is just starting to come in, and by next year, it will be a sight to behold. Did you know that male peacocks shed their trains in July and start over? These feathers are crucial in attracting females during mating season, which takes place from April to June. Keep in mind that they can be a bit vocal during this time.

More about this rescue

The mission of the Raise the Bar-N Foundation is to rescue, care for, and provide compassion to abused and neglected animals, educate the community about responsible pet ownership, and provide opportunities to children and adults with disabilities. We strive to give the voiceless a voice.

My husband and I have been rescuing for years. We also do a great deal with the autism/special needs community. We are hoping to save more animals and help build bonds between animals and children with disabilities. My husband is a firefighter and ex-professional hockey player. I am an expert working with children with disabilities, especially autism. I am passionate about giving the voiceless a "voice".
