Hi there! I'm Tanner, a charming black and tan classic Basset, around 5 years old. I was found as a stray, so my exact age is a bit of a mystery. I'm a petite guy-just 30 lbs of love-perfectly described as a "pocket Basset."
With my laid-back, lounge-around personality, I'm searching for a low-key family to call my own. I'm house-trained, but please don't put me in a crate and be sure to keep the goodies high up out of reach because I can be quite the counter surfer.
I thrive in cozy spaces like apartments or condos, and while I'm not one for long outdoor adventures, I'll happily tag along on short walks to the mailbox. I enjoy the company of other dogs, but prefer the of the ladies.
I'm all about the easy life and make a fantastic travel companion. Could I be the right fit for your family? If you're ready for some cuddles and companionship, contact BROOD today, and let's start our journey together! My adoption fee is $300.00.
**Only BROOD-approved adopters can meet a dog (no exceptions). Our adoption application is on the BROOD website at https://brood-va.org/adoptionapp/. We adopt to residents of Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, DC, Delaware, and southern Pennsylvania. Do not apply to adopt from BROOD if you live in another state. We require a virtual home visit and a veterinary reference.
The age of many BROOD dogs is unknown, as very few come with official records. The estimate on the dog's age is usually the initial estimate given by the receiving shelter, which may be different from that given at the time of the initial checkup. Different veterinarians may also give different ages, and those different opinions are sometimes reflected on the record. ***BROOD's adoption fees are determined based on the age of the dog. 09/29/2024
