Meet Corbin, one of our newest arrivals at the Mikey & Me Kennels for Happy Days Rescue. Corbin appears to be a Lab/Sharpei Mix, he’s only five months old, he has a beautiful golden coat, and he weighs just 25-30 pounds. Corbin is a very friendly little guy and he loves meeting and engaging with new people and other dogs.
Corbin has his first Vet visit in Dexter scheduled for October 30th where he will be given a Heart Worm test, any vaccinations/boosters needed, he will get microchipped, have a wellness exam, and he will be scheduled for neuter surgery at a date soon thereafter.
If you would like to meet Corbin, please submit an adoption application under his name at happydaysdogandcatrescue.org.
HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.â

Meet the Pet
A meet-n-greet should be arranged with the prospective adoptive family and foster animal applied for. All current pets must be included.
Home Check
Sometimes the meet-n-greet is combined with the home visit. The home visit is critical to make sure the foster animal is a good fit.
Sign Adoption Contract
When an adoption is a go, the adopters sign an Adoption Contract. The Contract may have addendums depending if the animal is spayed or not.
Pay Fee
Adoption fees may vary from animal to animal.
Take the Pet Home
Adoption Contract must have been signed, fee paid, and adopter provide collar tag with contact info on it, collar and leash.
