My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here is a little bit about Ms BB/Black Beauty. She was pulled from a shelter in Uintah Basin heavily pregnant. She had her babies about a week later, Now all her fur kids have moved on to home of their own, It is time for BB to find hers.. BB is a strong willed little sweetheart.. does get along with other cats. But if she does not get her way, she can be a bit bossy with the other cats. So she would do well as an only cat or Maybe with a kitten. She is but a kitten herself,, At just a year young she still loves to play with feather toys and then find a sunny patch in her foster home to settle down for a nap. Does live with small calm dogs. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
