My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baldwin is a snuggly, loving black kitty with gorgeous orange eyes. Once you sit down, he will find you to curl into your lap. And oh boy does he have a loud purr. He must be adopted with his sister, Alanis. These two are together all day long and basically move as a pair. Baldwin lives in a foster home with older cats and teenagers and he does well with them. He will make a great companion for anyone except smaller children. Come meet Baldwin and you will want to take him home ! Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
