Hi, my name is Cheddar and I am one spaz-tastic kitty! I play hard and I nap hard! They say all orange cats share one brain cell, but I know I have at least 3 or 4 in there. I am the purrfect combination of spunky and lovable! You might not see my amazing purrsonality right away as I am very nervous with new people or places. But if I have my own small space for a week or two, I will learn that I am safe and soon be your best buddy. I would prefer to be adopted with another kitten so I have a playmate, but would do well as a solo pet also. Everyone needs a ginger fur-ball in their life - pick me! Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
