Jasper: black & white tuxedo, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 4/26/24, #19207 Gandalf: white w/light grey tabby, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 4/26/24, #19210
Cats: *BONDED PAIR* & mellow cats ok Dogs: possible w/mellow dog Children: older, calm
BACKGROUND: A local rescuer discovered Jasper, Gandalf and their siblings living in a cat colony near Chula Vista. Realizing that the seven-week-old kittens were very sick, he reached out to The Rescue House for help. In foster care, they sprouted into healthy youngsters who can’t wait to join their forever family!
PERSONALITY: These adorable green-eyed boys are playful and loveable! Given their outdoor beginnings, Jasper and Gandalf can be timid at times. In keeping with their “Safety First” mentality, they will magically disappear when strangers are around or a loud noise startles them. Feeling more secure on their own paws, they don’t like to be picked up or carried around. However, once you’ve earned their trust, you’ll unlock a new side of Jasper and Gandalf… the super loving side! This bonded pair is extra cuddly! ---Jasper is only a bowtie away from being ready for a black-tie affair! We adore his white gloves and sharp tuxedo. It took a while before Jasper would voluntarily allow himself to be touched. Then one day, he suddenly decided that his foster family weren’t scary monsters and started begging to be pet. Extremely affectionate, he’ll snuggle up with you in bed or crawl into your lap for a nap. His favorite toys are fluff balls that he can toss in the air and chase. You can also catch him playing hide-n-seek in a tunnel with his cat pals! ---Gandalf is an incredibly sweet and gentle boy! This cautious cutie took the longest of the siblings to warm up to people. Our patience paid off tenfold because Gandalf flourished into the perfect lap cat! He’ll follow you around and plop down at your feet so you can pet him with long strokes. Besides the usual napping spots (on blankets or cat beds), Gandalf likes sliding onto the seat you just vacated. He appreciates you getting it toasty just for him. Before climbing onto your lap, he’ll request permission by placing his paws on the edge of your chair. Such a gentleman! He recently discovered the joys of wand toys and kitty games on the tablet. Of course, nothing beats tussling with his brother, Jasper! ---Gandalf would be lonel
