My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Hooch is a long haired chihuahua mix who was rescued from Yuba County, CA. He is estimated to be around 2-3 years old and weighs 8lbs.

Foster Update: Meet Hooch! This sweet boy was rescued from a high kill shelter in CA and has been getting settled into his foster home here in Seattle. Originally rescued from a hoarding situation, Hooch was quite timid when he arrived with us and he is gaining confidence in foster care. He loves to be with his humans, and he will quickly velcro to your side as soon as he knows you're his person. Hooch is working on getting more comfortable on leash while out on walks, as he does get spooked by loud or unexpected noises. He has spent some time around other chihuahuas and he really enjoys having other canine companions around, especially when he can take cues from them. Hooch would do best with another confident canine companion, but he may do okay as the only dog, so long as his family is dedicated to helping him continue to build up his confidence.

Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
