My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Pongo is a 6-month-old, 20lb whippet/terrier mix. He is lovely puppy who has been in foster care with Action 4 Animals near the east side shelter. Pongo has been walking on a lead, attending basic puppy social and obedience training as well as several pop-up adoption events. He does well with people, dogs and cats. Calm for a puppy of his age and very motivated to please. He is doing great on his potty training with consistent breaks throughout the day.

Foster Update:  This is Pongo: a very happy-chill dog! Do you want a companion that will be stoked to go hiking? He's your buddy! Want to play fetch between meetings? He's got you! Want to chill on the couch at the end of the day? He can do that too! Not only he can chill, he's not very food motivated at the moment, which means you can snack on the couch, while Pongo snuggles you and not fight for your food or have begging eyes staring at your every bite! He also occasionally sleeps like people (see photo), adorable! He's currently very passionate about toys, specially of the squeaking variety, and will keep himself busy with them. He's absolutely acing potty training, and getting passing grades on his lose leash walking, as long as you keep a brisk pace. This sniffing aficionado will pull if given time to be intrigued with the squirrel, cyclist, or dog going by. Largely respectful of non chewable belongings given his age, and sleeps in his crate at night without issues. Reach out soon if you never want your lap to go cold again!

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
