My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Miley was born outside on the Wapato Reservation. Her 'owner' was not interested in feeding or keeping her or her littermates, and was threatening to let them starve. A rescue contact reached out for help as Mama and babies were left outside, exposed to the elements. We could not leave them to suffer, so they are all hitching a ride to the west side on Friday, 10/11.

Foster Update:  Phoebe is an absolute gem - she is loving, playful and so smart. She has lots of energy, plays hard with our resident dog and responds well to his cues. She loves to sneak up to initiate play, and has endless kisses for everyone in our house.  She is initially cautious around new people, but responds positively as she meets them.  Phoebe sleeps quietly all night in her crate and is doing very well with potty training, although is still learning to tell us when she needs to go out.  She has quickly leaned basic commands and is very eager to please - especially if treats are involved! She  is still working on typical puppy nipping behavior, but quickly redirects when offered a chew toy.  Phoebe would do well in a house with another dog that she can play with and learn from, or would be great as an only dog as well. She needs lots of space to run and explore, and will be a wonderful running or hiking buddy! We are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard and large breed experience. We are not considering apartments at this time.

Adoption Info: Damian's adoption fee is $550 which includes his neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.

Animal History: Taylor and her 9 puppies are being surrendered to Dog Gone Seattle from their owner in Eastern Wa. They arrive to foster care 10/11/24 and will be available for adoption once we confirm they are healthy and well.
