My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

?? Meet Doc! ??
??Doc is a 5-year-old Border Collie looking for a special home that understands and appreciates his breed. True to his Border Collie nature, Doc is a high-energy, intelligent dog who thrives when he has a job to do and an experienced owner to guide him????. He’ll need a home that can keep up with his active lifestyle and provide the mental and physical stimulation he craves.
Doc’s ideal family is familiar with the needs of working breeds and is ready to engage with him in activities like agility, herding??, or daily outdoor adventures. He’s not just a pet—he’s a partner who’s eager to learn, explore, and be by your side. His adoption fee is $52.00 that includes microchip, vaccine, 2024 Holmes county license, leash and collar!

More about this shelter

We are a county operated facility and agency. We receive our funding through dog license sales. We are responsible for picking up strays in our county. Many of these strays later go up for adoption and become our responsibility to rehome. We also take owner surrrenders and attempt to rehome them.
